The design of the new Athens headquarters of a renowned Greek shipping company draws inspiration from the founder’s dual passions: Parisian elegance and the finesse of 1950s Milanese entrance halls.
This office design emphasizes a dynamic interplay between architectural volumes and luxurious materials, enhanced by serene lighting. Occupying half of the 13th floor of Athens Tower, the space offers spectacular views of the city.
The entrance hall features fundamental architectural elements: a Macauba-cladded marble wall, a beige travertine floor, and a ceiling painted in dark semi-glossy paint that reflects shadows, transforming movement into a visual spectacle. The centerpiece is a Tinos marble secretary box, crafted like an inhabitable jewel in the middle of the space. Bespoke furnishings and hidden light fixtures complement the design.
The central zone of the roof is designed as a light apparatus, emphasizing the longitudinal axis along which the headquarters’ space and movement is organized.
The meeting room showcases two freestanding sculptural walls: a curved wooden-cladded wall and a green marble wall, which subtly separates the space. Inside, an industrial aesthetic is maintained with metal cabinets and red reflective paint. The roof’s light apparatus continues into this area, unifying the office’s public spaces.
The executive office reflects the owner’s refined taste, featuring chevron wooden flooring and playful marble accents. A sculptural storage background creates dynamic light and shadow patterns, while the executive table, made of Nero Marquina marble, highlights the central axis. Dark semi-glossy paint on the ceiling mirrors the rich textures and materials throughout.
A private zen and tea room, designed for relaxation, completes the office with earthy tones and ambient lighting for meditation.
