Conceived as a spatial instrument for encounter, the Gallery design transforms
a compact corner property into an unfolding sequence of atmospheres. The
project works with the existing structure not as a constraint but as a generative
framework: beams, split levels and irregular perimeters become anchors for a
curatorial promenade that reveals the artworks gradually, through calibrated
transitions of light, color and scale.

The design revolves around a central monolithic structure embracing two
columns and acting both as exhibition surface and as circulation regulator. The
revolving promenade created around this monolith, allows sculptures,
tapestries and paintings to be read from multiple vantage points, reinforcing
the gallery’s role as an active landscape rather than a static backdrop.

Lighting emerges as the project’s primary expressive tool. At night, the interior
atmospheres spill onto the street through the gallery’s characteristic windows-
perceived as irregular slits, a crack of light-, giving the façade a vibrant, kinetic
presence that signals the ongoing life of the exhibition within.

The lighting installation by ADD Architecture Studio captured in the project’s
photos, interplays with the artworks crafted by Eirini Linardaki and HOPE on
their joined exhibition titled “Hazy Cosmic Jive” which inaugurated the Gallery.
Viewed through a mixture of colored accents, each artwork obtains an almost
out-worldy dimension.

By day, the space resets to a clear, luminous condition. The neutral surfaces,
polished concrete floor and controlled apertures create a calm environment
that supports close viewing. Sculptural works are staged on a family of bespoke
pedestals in metal and stone, while wall-mounted pieces are framed by the
gallery’s distinct sectional moments — recesses, overhangs and angled planes
that lend depth to the viewing experience.

Overall, the project positions the gallery as a hybrid between exhibition space
and experimental apparatus. It operates through precision rather than
spectacle, crafting an environment where artworks, viewers and architecture
continuously recalibrate one another. The result is a spatial narrative that
evolves with each exhibition, yet remains rooted in the gallery’s distinctive
character.
